The 2012 Society for News Design Workshop will officially kick off Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 when sndcle attendees receive their all-access passes to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. From 7-11 p.m., members will be able to mingle and network while touring the vast collection of memorabilia from the legends who defined the genre. Discover more about the Rock Hall.

Earlier in the day Thursday, we will have a set of pre-workshop sessions, including a set of student sessions and a single session for professionals. More information on topics and how to sign up for those sessions will be posted in August.

Friday sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until a break for lunch at 12:30 p.m. We’ll return after lunch for the afternoon sessions, which will run from 2 p.m. until 5:25 p.m.

Saturday sessions will begin at 9 a.m. with a break for lunch at 11:30 a.m. After lunch, the afternoon sessions will start at 1 p.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. Unlike previous years, the World’s Best and Lifetime Achievement awards will be a little bit more Rock and Roll, with a special presentation and party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hilarities Comedy Club on East 4th Street.
