The National, the Middle East’s leading news organisation, is looking for a Head of Data Visualisation and data journalist to join their data visualisation team.
Head of Data Visualisation
The National is looking for somebody with a record of turning raw data into striking visual stories that explain complex subjects in a compelling, eye-catching way. Candidates should have an enquiring mind, a relish for researching data, the ability to visualise how the final graphics will look and the technical skills to make it happen.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of five other data visualisation specialists and infographic artists. You should have extensive experience of producing animated and interactive graphics as well as 2D information graphics.
They are looking for somebody with a keen interest in Middle Eastern politics, culture and society and an eye for stories in the region that can be told through data.
Both the job is based in Abu Dhabi.
