High proficiency in Adobe software, in particular, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator 2. Ability to conceptualize editorial illustrations to accompany long-form political and cultural stories 3. A knack for designing and laying out stories in compelling ways 4. Familiarity with web design and layouts 5. Attention to detail and ability to work in a team with the creative director, photo department, and editors 6. Experience with UI/UX.
